After hours of deliberation, QOTSA has decided on the WINNER of
the 1st Annual Tour Poster Artist Cook-Off! And the winner is, elfisto,
with his design titled "Something For My Wall". Congratulations you
genius, you. Elfisto's design will appear as the exclusive QOTSA tour
poster for the Wiltern Theater gigs in Los Angeles, CA next week. There
will be a VERY limited supply at each show, and on the band's website
shortly after. Elfisto will also receive 10 signed copies of his work,
a portion of the proceeds, and our respect (which almost never happens). |

The Wiltern poster art contest officially ended at 12pm PST yesterday. Thanks to everyone who had enough balls to submit your artwork. I watched the band go through all 548 submissions and they have narrowed it down to 13 lucky finalists. Check back to find out if you will be rewarded for getting up off your ass to Do Stuff. Submit your artwork here on the Do Stuff site by noon on Thursday to be automatically entered into the tour poster competition for the 2 LA shows December 19th and 20th at The Wiltern Theater. Do Stuff was created to give you all a chance to be part of the action.
You have been sittin back nice and comfortable behind your computer
screens for some time now, critiquing, criticizing, complaining...now
shut up and start creating. Post your artwork inspired by Queens of the
Stone Age here, that is if you think it can stand up against the best
of us. The band and everyone in the community will rate it- top 5 are
honored, bottom 5 in the dunk tank. Photos, paintings, artwork (future
plans include videos, animation, flash)...all derived from QOTSA
material. Now stop askin questions and go Do Stuff.
